  • 1 ½ oz light rum
  • ½ oz amaretto liqueur
  • 2 oz passion fruit juice
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz grenadine syrup
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • 1 orange slice for garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Fill the Shaker
  • Add ice cubes to a cocktail shaker to chill the ingredients properly.

Step 2: Mix the Ingredients

  • Pour in light rum, amaretto, passion fruit juice, lime juice, and grenadine syrup.

Step 3: Shake Well

  • Close the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until well chilled.

Step 4: Strain and Serve

  • Strain the mixture into a glass filled with fresh ice.

Step 5: Garnish and Enjoy

  • Add an orange slice and a maraschino cherry for a restaurant-style look. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, increase the grenadine by ¼ oz. For a tarter taste, add more lime juice.
  • Non-Alcoholic Version: Omit the rum and amaretto and substitute with extra passion fruit juice and a few drops of almond extract.
  • Best Glassware: Serve in a rocks glass or hurricane glass for an authentic look.
  • Make It a Frozen Cocktail: Blend the ingredients with ice instead of shaking for a slushy-style drink.
  • Storage Tip: This drink is best made fresh, but you can mix the ingredients (except grenadine) in advance and store in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
