- Heavy Cream: 1 cup 240 ml
- Sweetened Condensed Milk: ½ cup 120 ml
- Sugar optional: 2 tbsp (25 g)
- Vanilla Extract: 1 tsp 5 ml
- Optional Flavorings such as cocoa powder, fruit puree, matcha, or crushed cookies: 1-2 tbsp (10-30 g)
- Mix-ins & Toppings e.g., crushed cookies, fruit, syrup, nuts, etc.: as desired
Prepare the Ice Cream Base
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. If you’re adding flavorings (like cocoa powder, fruit puree, or matcha), incorporate them at this stage. Add sugar to sweeten if desired.
Pour and Spread the Base
Once the surface is cold, pour the ice cream mixture onto the pan and use a spatula to spread it into a thin, even layer. The thinner the base, the better it will roll.
Roll the Ice Cream
After the base is frozen, use a spatula or paint scraper to gently scrape the ice cream into rolls. Start at one end of the sheet and work your way to the other end, scraping the frozen mixture into tight rolls.
Serve
Place the rolls into a serving cup, arranging them neatly. Top with your favorite toppings like fruit, nuts, crushed cookies, or syrup. Serve immediately and enjoy!
