Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker – 1 (required for churning)
  • Blender or food processor: 1 (for pureeing the peaches)
  • Mixing bowl: 1 (for the cream and milk base)
  • Measuring cups and spoons: 1 set each
  • Spatula: 1 (for mixing)
  • Freezer-safe Container – 1 (For storing the ice cream)
  • Knife: 1 (for cutting peaches)
  • Cutting board: 1 (for chopping peaches)

Ingredients

  • 4-5 medium ripe peaches peeled, pitted, and chopped
  • 1 cup 240 ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup 240 ml whole milk
  • 3/4 cup 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon optional lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

Prepare the Peaches:

  • Peel, pit, and chop the peaches. If you'd like to enhance their flavor, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar over the peaches and let them sit for 10-15 minutes to macerate.

Make the Peach Puree:

  • Transfer the chopped peaches to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. If you prefer chunkier ice cream, pulse the mixture to leave some peach bits intact.

Make the Ice Cream Base:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.

Combine Peach Puree with Ice Cream Base:

  • Add the peach puree to the cream mixture and stir until everything is well incorporated. Optionally, add a tablespoon of lemon juice to enhance the fruit's natural flavor.

Churn the Ice Cream:

  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically for 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

Freeze the Ice Cream:

  • Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and smooth out the top. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 3-4 hours, or until it firms up to your desired consistency.

Serve:

  • Once frozen, scoop and serve your creamy, refreshing Fresh Peach Ice Cream! Enjoy!

Notes

  • Peach Selection: For the best results, use fresh, ripe peaches that are in season. They should be fragrant, sweet, and slightly soft to the touch.
  • No Ice Cream Maker? No problem! If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can still make this recipe. Simply pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze it. Every 30 minutes, stir it with a fork to break up ice crystals and make the texture creamy.
  • Storage: Keep the ice cream stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2-3 weeks. Be sure to cover the surface with plastic wrap to avoid freezer burn.
