  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup Mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup Caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

  • Using a double boiler or microwave, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter.
Stir until smooth and well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  • Pour in the melted chocolate and butter mixture, stirring until fully combined.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Stir until just combined, making sure not to overmix.
  • Fold in any chopped nuts or mini marshmallows if you’re using them.

Step 5: Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
For a fudgier texture, aim for slightly underbaked.
  • Allow the dessert to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra richness, try using dark chocolate or chocolate with a higher cocoa content for a more intense flavor.
  • Nuts and marshmallows are optional add-ins, but they add great texture and flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week. You can also freeze the dessert for 2-3 months.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute the butter with coconut oil and use dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • If you prefer a gluten-free option, swap the all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour or almond flour.
