- 2 large Bananas peeled and sliced
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Whole milk
- 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
- 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped
- Pinch of salt
Optional:
- 1/2 teaspoon Banana extract for enhanced flavor
Make the Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
Add Chocolate and Walnuts
- Texture Tip: For a creamier texture, mix the ice cream halfway through freezing. If you don't have an ice cream machine, you can also stir it every hour for the first 3 hours.
- Banana Tip: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and creamier your ice cream will be. Choose bananas with plenty of brown spots for optimal flavor.
- No-Churn Version: If you prefer the no-churn method, simply skip the ice cream machine steps and use the whipped cream method as described earlier in the recipe.
